Lady of Sorrows
Dec. 21st, 2017 09:45 amEvery year, I treat myself to a reading of some kind from an honest practitioner that I vibe with and that I feel has genuine talent and insight. I'd say I'm pretty decent reader but I tend to do simple draws of 4-5 cards. It's always interesting to delve deeper into a more complex spread that someone has created.
Since I waited so late in the year, I went with a past life birth chart reading.
This made me cry.
The funny part is that the 8 of swords is my astrological decan card in the tarot, and it's the first damn card that popped out in this past life reading. Definitely my biggest challenge in my life.
Something that is especially intriguing is the Garden lenormand and Samaritan oracle cards. At it's simplest, the garden does represent being in nature, but what it really speaks to is networking, socializing, etc. I also got the hermit card. I get the vibe she was alone often but took connected with others through cooking or/and herbal remedies.
This also touches on something I experienced in 2016.
Last Samhain, the potions master of the coven brewed up one of his witchy teas to aid in spirit contact. After going into trance, I could see older woman tending to a rosemary plant. My hands were hers, I could feel a prickling sensation as she slide her hands up the stem to remove the needle leaves for a recipe.
I called over to Jason, one of the few in the group who I felt actually was magical, and I put my hands on his without saying anything. He starting freaking out because he felt a warm prickly sensation going up his arms.
Unfortunately, I never took it any further. Since then, anytime I've done a spell, I always include a pinch of rosemary :)
I need to take the time to journal on this more; I've watched it a few times but it hasn't fully soaked in yet. Hopefully, after the holidays.
